One thing this detox has accomplished is making me dread eating. Seriously, how many more vegetables and fruits can I cram into my maw? It's struggle to get in 1200 calories a day, even, which isn't enough over the long term. On Saturday night I found myself standing at the counter cramming in raw green beans, chewing and chewing and chewing, just to get in some more protein.
However, aside from being disillusioned with the concept of food in general, I feel great. Good energy, cheerful (and snarky, of course), happy about exercising.
Also, I've discovered that there are several(!) raw foods restaurants in my neighborhood, and once I'm allowed to eat seeds and nuts and avocado again I might start getting take-out from them sometimes. One thing this detox has done is make me think "sprouted-grain flatbread topped with 8 raw vegetables" sound delicious. Which is pretty funny.
You should definitely check out that one well-known place, which is not far from you (I'm not naming it to avoid revealing your neighborhood--can't remember if you're anonymous about that here--but I can email you if you don't know which I mean). I went there once and it was surprisingly delicious. I had the "lasagna," which, while not really lasagna, was tasty.
