I was just going to ask you for a T-Tapp update...duh...should have checked your training blog.

I'm on day 5 of a 14 day bootcamp. The Hoedown challenge sounds like fun, I may try do do a set after lunch and dinner.

Yeah, those are some great attributes of acceptance and patience to pass on, "grandad"...*snort*

Which of course makes me wonder what it is that Grandpa didn't want to know. "Dad, I've been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure"? "Dad, the doctors say I don't make any sperm"? "Dad, I keep telling you I'm a woman trapped in a man's body"? Oh, the possibilities...

Parents always want something, don't they?
Don't run away.

we should talk about running sunday. im not too excited about the rain, but if it is not cold, i will run the park course if you still want to do it. let me know.

I don't know what his tone was, but in the tone I supplied for him, it was very funny. Like "Eeek! TMI!!"

And then I wondered if I should feel bad for the infertile (I assumed was) on the other end . . .

Also, I'm tickled to see a 60 yr old man *wanting* grandchildren. All the grandpas in our life are pretty ambivalent.

He was very insistent and angry about it. I thought the person on the other end was coming out to him, maybe. Who knows? It was distrubing, though. I wanted to kick him in the shins as I ran by.

When I first read it, I pictured him saying it in a joking manner, as if his daughter or son were talking about sex and he didn't want to hear it. I'm sad that it was actually said in an angry tone. It seems that your assessment, Moxie, is probably right on.

Num Num

How do you distinguish early 60s from late 60s?

It's interesting how there are different interpretations to what the guy said ... I wondered if he was talking to his son or daughter, and they gave a little TMI, to which he answered he didn't want to know HOW the grandchildren came into being, he just wants to be a grandpa. Which made me laugh. =)

Moxie, I had the same thought...
