Also, my young coworker was telling me today about a woman he's hooked up with a couple of times. He calls her The Cougar. She's my age.
On the plus side, I got a pedicure tonight while the kids were with their dad, and my toes look fabulous. Which almost makes up for being old, poor, and without an appropriate laptop bag.

You are not the age of a cougar. I'm not even the age of a cougar. I hope...

We have a client in her mid-40s with two really great dogs, and a really hot, young boyfriend. He's devoted to the dogs, too, so he's a good person (this being how I judge everyone), and they are really cute together. Plus, more power to her.
It's nice to have you posting back here again!

Hey, Moxie! Nice post.
"Cougars" - I'd rather be called a cougar than frumpy. Honestly.

There was an ep of 30 Rock where Tina Fey was a cougar and it was HILARIOUS. I don't think a cougar is old, per se, just significantly older than the guy.

Blech. Hate the term "cougar." It's so...predatory.
I hear you on the expensive taste thing. Living in NYC doesn't help with developing more frugal tastes. I always want the $350 designer dress when I can really only afford the $45 Old Navy rag.
